Commitment to Accessible Service

We are committed to meeting the needs of persons with disabilities in a timely and integrative manner that respects their dignity and independence to ensure persons with disabilities receive equal opportunities. The Medical Centre is committed to fulfilling our legal requirements of the AODA and we provide training to all of our employees.”
Notices
In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities, the Centre will notify customers promptly. This clearly posted notice will include information about the reason for the disruption, its anticipated length of time, and a description of alternative arrangements, as feasible. The notice will be placed at the front entrance lobby at 707 Charlotte St. as well the home page of our website.
Employee Training
The Centre will provide training to employees who deal with the public. The training is provided to staff during their orientation period effective with their start date with the organization.
Training will include:
- An overview of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the requirements of the Customer Service Standard.
- The Centre’s plan related to the Customer Service Standard.
- How to properly interact and communicate with people with various disabilities.
- Information and instruction on The Centre’s equipment or devices available on-site or otherwise that may help with providing goods or services to people with disabilities. These may include but are not limited to accommodations such as automatic doors, accessible washrooms, phones and phone devices, presentation tools, elevators, security.
- The Centre’s commitment to assist with access to the Centre’s services.
