Always try to contact your Family Doctor or Nurse Practitioner to book an appointment before using after hours services. If you are unable to get a same day appointment with your clinician to check your urgent symptoms, you have two options.
1. After Hours Clinic
- Monday — Thursday:
- 5:00pm — 8:00pm
- 8:00am — 2:00pm
- 9:00am — 12noon

Please note that hours may change occasionally, particularly during holidays.
The Extended Hours Clinic is available to patients rostered to Family Physicians and Practitioners of The Medical Centre Family Health Team who need urgent care due to the sudden onset of symptoms.
Prescription refills, pre-operative exams, allergy shots, travel immunizations, lab tests results, requests for referrals and the completion of forms are NOT services provided at the After Hours Clinic.
2. Telephone Health Advisory Services
Available 24 hours/day 7 days/week
The Medical Centre Family Health Team, in conjunction with the Ministry of Health provides patients rostered to Family Physicians and Clinicians with access to Tele-Health Advisory Services (THAS) for after-hours medical issues.
This service provides direct contact with a Registered Nurse who will:
- help you decide whether to care for yourself
- recommend a visit to your clinician or
- recommend you go to a hospital emergency room
